Ruth Inman

I am a mixed media artist at Artful Journey Gallery and I find joy in no matter what medium I’m working with. My art has been described as abstract, whimsical, intuitive, colorful and bold. I have enjoyed making Art Journals, or creating glass or tile pieces with alcohol ink,even silk scarves. I like painting with acrylic paints, mixed with mediums like texture paste, modeling paste, and anything that will make texture. I feel that life is not 'smooth sailing', there are always bumps in the road, and so is my art.

What inspires me? “Color”. I feel God gave us colors to use, and living in a black & white world, not using them, seems not only boring to me, but unappreciative to the One who created color. When I use several colors, I feel happy. I think it makes God happy too.

I am fortunate to have some of my art displayed for sale at the Artful Journey Gallery in Peoria, Illinois.
