Steven Marx

While I’ve been taking pictures my whole life, I started to focus more on my photography in 2014, when we spent a semester in Chile after my wife received a Fulbright scholarship. My photography took another leap during COVID, when looking for things to do solo. This is also when I began to focus more on macro photography, which I love for its ability to reveal unseen worlds. Getting deeper into photography has taught me to see the world in different ways. 

To me, photography is a way of capturing and presenting what’s beautiful and interesting in the world, which to me is almost everything. From making the mundane special to revealing remote places, photography allows us to reveal the world, from mountain landscapes to reflections in a drop of dew.
