I am a local Artisan potter. My start was a way to have fun with my grandchildren. We took a 6 week class and I was so pleased with my experience that I just kept learning more on the art of throwing. Its been 7 years and I now have a studio in my home so I can throw and create whenever I am inspired with a new idea.

My journey has been an interesting one, from the early days of just being able to create anything, to now, having ideas for pieces from the shapes I am throwing. Sometimes I just sit at the wheel and watch what my hands make.

I have found that working the clay with my hands is very relaxing and rewarding for me. I have classes and teach slab pottery. Teaching still has me working the clay with my hands. We create pieces that can be simple and fun, to more detailed ones.
